Long break between posts....

Hi all, sorry about the big break between posts.

Wow, I've just read my last post, June 22 2007. Two and a half years ago, can that be true?

Well, as you can imagine a lot has happened in that time. I had a beautiful baby boy, Dylan on the 22nd of February 2008. He's now 21 months and a big boisterous boy. Alexi is 3 and a half, such a little lady, with a bit of attitude thrown in :P

My husband split up a bit over a year ago. Things are going much better for the both of us. I'm no engaged again to a lovely guy. He's taken on the Dad role without blinking. The kids and I adore him.

I've just started Uni, I'm studying Tertiary Prep over semester 3 to prepare me for studying at a tertiary level. It's tough trying to juggle everything! Somehow I've found the time, the house isn't as tidy though :P
Next year I start my degree (as long as I pass TPP), which will either be Human Services (counseling) or Psychology, not sure which one yet, I'll hopefully be completing both eventually.

We're living in sunny Hervey Bay now! It's a huge difference from where we were, a beautiful difference. This place has been the best move I have ever made. Everything has worked out for me, life has never been brighter. I believe God directed me here :)

That'll do for tonight. It's getting late and I'm up early tomorrow.

xoxo Alicia

Big news!!

Well, yesterday I finally got to my appointment with the female doctor. It went well, I had my first ever pap smear, I have no idea what I was worried about, it didn't hurt at all! It wasn't even uncomfortable.

While there I got some amazing news,

I'm pregnant!!

We're due on the 22nd of February! I still can't believe it! I'm so happy. We were trying, but didn't think it would happen so soon! I am very grateful at how quickly we fell. TBH I feel a little bit guilty when I think of all the couples that are having trouble falling pregnant. I couldn't imagine how hard it must be for them :-(

Update on fluffy mail

Well it's been a long time since I last updated. A lot has happened too!

We've had tonnes of fluffy mail. No pics unfortunately, the camera's dying.

My Honeyboy has arrived! It's even more beautiful than I had imagined! It's yellow with a gumball machine appliqued on the bum. I adore it! It's so soft and works so well!

Other fluffy mail (or WAHM mail I've received)

~ 2 itti bittis, one bubblegum one rose
~ 1 second hand Honeyboy in lilac
~ 2 window decorations and frangipani's handpainted on a purple singlet. All from 3cheekyboys. I love her work and can't wait to buy more!
~ 1 Night nappy, no idea of the name. 1 Bubblebubs, animal print, love it. 1 Twins in cloth fitted. 2 large berry plush inserts

I don't remember anymore LOL I get too much!

My absolute favourite arrived today.
I had bought some wool from Sussannah, Geisha I think it was. A wonderful woman (Vanessa) chrocheted it up for me. It has turned out nicer than I could ever have imagined! I will try my hardest to get a photo because the colours have come together just beautifully! There was some leftover wool so she made up a little headband. It fits Alexi perfectly and it's so cute!

I've been meaning to post this for ages now.
The shirt is hand dyed by my Aunt. The embroidery is done by a gorgeous woman called Pam. ((HUG))
I found this cute little knitted singlet at the op shop. I'm not sure wether to dye it, or keep it this way.

Fluffy Mail

These are my gorgeous capris from Dyelicious Knits & Bits. When they arrived I thought they were going to be to small, but no, they're a perfect fit!! :-D

I was lucky enough to win these gorgeous longies on eBay. They are made by the lovely Vanessa. She does a great job! So good that I've asked her to make me a custom pair, and she said yes! :-D

Vanessa was kind enough to add these flower embellishments for free! Aren't they just beautiful?!

The best kind of fluff is free fluff! I received these from Melissa in a swap. I have been inlove with this print for quite some time. Now it's mine! LOL

LOL I really should start taking photos of Lex in a clean shirt ROFL. Have you noticed that the freezer is our main pic spot? Haha.

Reconstructed T-shirt

These are the pants I made for the Reconstructed T-shirt thread on Nappycino

Girly Bits bamboo velour Mermaid

I can't belive I didn't post this as soon as I got it. But I've been slack. Here it is though. My absolute favourite pad. I got it by chance, browsing on Ozebaby and there it was :-D

It is the most comfortable pad I have ever worn. Karen (Girly Bits) has done a great job on these.
